We are currently no longer accepting under $5.00 donations from new members...
!!NOTE!!: The handling of donations is a manual process. When you donate, we securely store the donation information, send you information on how to access the portal donator file area (and all the other donator areas) to the email address the PayPal
donation came from, and update you in the forums with "Friends" status. Lots of the times donations are processed within minutes (I don't sleep much), but occasionally it can take a couple hours, or if it's late, overnight.
If you've donated before you do not need to donate again to gain access! Just send us your prior donation transaction/receipt number and username. We'll verify and record it and send you information on accessing the portal donator areas.
As a special thank you to those that choose to donate, we allow any donator that wishes access to the beta versions of MySEQ before
the public gets to see them as a general release.
- Where do these donations go?
All donations end up in the PayPal account of the MySEQ Dev Team and are marked securely recorded for the MySEQ project.
- What are the donations used for?
The donations are used for website bandwidth, hosting fees, software, hardware, future projects and various other things.
- Why do you need donations?
Specifically, for the reasons listed above. Also, this project is spearheaded by several people who are dedicated to building a community that is ongoing and supportive of each other.
Mainly, it is a sign of appreciation for all the hard work and uncountable man hours that have gone into making this project and the community what it is today.
And the support isn't shabby either. Many times we've been told that you won't find better support for any software (or most other) product anywhere.
- Are my donations anonymous and what do you do with the information?
For the most part, no they are not. At some point, you will have to enter some sort of identifying information for PayPal, your credit card, or the postal service.
We however don't really use the information in any way, except to verify you with if the future need ever arises. The information is securely stored and not shared, sold, traded or otherwise misused.
We have no interest in telling anyone who you are.
- Is the MySEQ Dev Team ever going to charge for software?
This is something that has and is being considered. Simply put, we have thousands of man-hours in this project. Time is money. However, the current releases of the MySEQ software will remain on a donation basis. We do reserve the right to change this policy in future releases, and we will very likely come out with new software in the future that will be on a subscription basis.
